For a Curved Surface

image_for_a_curvedAt once ‘ludic and antic,’ in the poet’s own words, For a Curved Surface develops the carnivalesque pageant established in DiPalma’s 2009 volume, The Ancient Use of Stone. As Don Share has written of DiPalma’s polyphonic explorations, “His mind is a distillery, an alembic, and that’s why his quotidian pluckings and gatherings are so musical—and so fascinating.”

Born in New Kensington, PA and living in New York City since 1975, Ray DiPalma is the author of some thirty books of poetry and visual work. His most recent book-length collection is Obedient Laughter (2014)
